A Happy New Year to all

Happy New Year everyone,
By now I'm sure everyone has started getting busy with their jobs, children, etc. I'm sure all you thermomix users out there are using your thermomix to the max with the new year celebrations and the upcoming Chinese New Year too. Do share with us what your stories with your thermomix during the holidays and any recipes that you have tried out!

For myself, I've been mostly busy with making all sorts of drinks for my family from the local teh tarik to ice blended coffee (nescafe ice blended ala starbucks anyone? LOL) and even using it as an ice shaver for our local ABC.

The best part using my Thermomix is the consistency. Once you've got it right, that's it! Experiment of recipes has never been more fun with the help of Thermomix.

May you all have a great year with your Thermomix!

Fasting Month and Eid Celebrations (Raya)

For all Muslim, fasting month is coming soon and before we know it Raya would be uppon us. I'm sure there are many preparations that needs to be done for the Eid Celebrations (Raya). I would like to share a very simple recipe if you would like to prepare something for your guests.

Chocolate Mixed Nuts- all you need is some nuts, chocolates (dark and white or normal and white chocolate).
  1. Chop up  your chosen nuts and set them aside.
  2. Melt your chocolate at 2mins/ 50 degrees/ speed 3. (May vary depending on amount of chocolate).
  3. Once melted, put in the chopped nuts and stir.
  4. Spoon them using your tablespoon and shape into oval.
  5. Next, melt the white chocolate and while it is still in liquid form, use a teaspoon and just decorate in a wave design on the slightly cooled mixed nuts chocolate.
This is just a very basic recipe. feel free to alter any as you see fit. If you don't like nuts, maybe you want to mix in cornflakes or raisins.

If anyone has any interesting recipes for the Eid Celebrations (Raya), feel free to email them to me and I will post it up.
