Fasting Month and Eid Celebrations (Raya)
For all Muslim, fasting month is coming soon and before we know it Raya would be uppon us. I'm sure there are many preparations that needs to be done for the Eid Celebrations (Raya). I would like to share a very simple recipe if you would like to prepare something for your guests.
Chocolate Mixed Nuts- all you need is some nuts, chocolates (dark and white or normal and white chocolate).
If anyone has any interesting recipes for the Eid Celebrations (Raya), feel free to email them to me and I will post it up.
Chocolate Mixed Nuts- all you need is some nuts, chocolates (dark and white or normal and white chocolate).
- Chop up your chosen nuts and set them aside.
- Melt your chocolate at 2mins/ 50 degrees/ speed 3. (May vary depending on amount of chocolate).
- Once melted, put in the chopped nuts and stir.
- Spoon them using your tablespoon and shape into oval.
- Next, melt the white chocolate and while it is still in liquid form, use a teaspoon and just decorate in a wave design on the slightly cooled mixed nuts chocolate.

RECIPE - Garam Masala
If you are interested with the Butter Chicken recipe, you can use this recipe to make your own fresh Garam Masala instead of buying them at the store :)

Ingredients:
- 2 cinnamon Sticks approx. 8 cm long
- 8 Cardamom Pods (seed only)
- 2 tbsp whole Coriander Seeds
- 1 tbsp whole Cloves
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Black Pepper
- 2 Bay leaves
- Place all ingredients into TM bowl and grind until desired consistency. Speed 8

It has been awhile since I've put up new recipes so I'll be putting up 2 recipes. Hereis the first. Enjoy!

This recipe is a traditional, mild North Indian cuisine, one of the most popular dishes in Indian restaurants in Australia.
Ingredients:

This recipe is a traditional, mild North Indian cuisine, one of the most popular dishes in Indian restaurants in Australia.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Fennel Seeds
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2cm piece Ginger, peeled
- 1 large onion, peeled and quartered
- 100g Butter
- 20g Olive Oil
- 4 ripe Roma Tomatoes, chopped
- 150g Raw Cashew nuts
- 100g water
- 680g Chicken Breast, diced into 2-3cm cubes
- 200g Cream
- 1 tsp Garam Masala (can also be made with Thermomix, will also post this soon)
- 1 tsp of Tumeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt to taste
- Place cumin and fennel into TM bowl and dry roast for 2 mins/ 100 degree/ speed 1, then mill for 2mins/ speed 8. Take it out and set aside.
- Place garlic, ginger and onion into TM bowl and chop for 5secs/ speed 7.
- Add butter and oil and cook for 3mins/ 100 degree/ speed 1.
- Add tomatoes, cashews and water into TM bowl, pureefor 1mins/ speed 8.
- Add all remaining ingredients, including cream and chicken (keep aside 1 tsp of cumin and fennel). Cook for 20-25mins/ 100 degree/ reverse and spoon setting.
- Add one extra cube of butter at the end of cooking plus the remaining fennel, cumin and some extra Garam Masala.
- Garnish with coriander, serve with Naan bread.

RECIPE - Lempeng Pisang
I tried using thermomix to make myself one of my favourites. No more mashing the bananas by hand. Saves up a lot time :)

Ingredients:
- 1.3 kg banana
- 30 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 330-340 g plain flour
- Insert banana into TM bowl. 30s / Speed 7
- Insert remaining ingredients. Put flour bit by bit to ensure the batter is not too thick. Est. 1-2 min / Speed 5
- Heat up flat pan and scoop batter and drop in pan to cook. Try to make it as round as possible.
